Giving

The work we do here at the Jesus Church is supported by a team of volunteers and donations from our community. We believe that God calls us to give regularly to his church.

Your contributions allow the church to function and fulfill its mission, whether that involves providing worship services, running youth programs, or helping the local community. Consistent giving allows for better budgeting and planning for these endeavors.

Some members of the church choose to give regularly - either via a monthly  as well as through one-off gifts.

One of the noticeboards in Charis has some posters about last year’s finances. You can see that we are affected by increased costs, especially for energy. But we are also very grateful for your generosity in helping us to keep going and we know it has been difficult for everyone. Thank you.

The card reader is a really secure way to give - we do not see any card details, great for one-off donations up to £30. For larger amounts, or if you are a taxpayer, it is better to give via your banking app as we get the whole donation – there are no fees. For a Gift Aid form please ask David Bulger or Sue Spinks.

Did you know...

The church is committed to giving 8% of our regular income to charities locally, nationally and internationally.

Below are a list of charities we support regularly and specific times throughout the year:

Enfield Churches
Debt Centre

Enfield Churches Debt Centre is a partnership of churches in Enfield who are on a mission to release local families from grinding poverty through award winning debt counselling in conjunction with Christians Against Poverty (CAP).

Connections at St. Martin's
in the Fields

The Connection at St Martin’s works with people who are rough sleeping to move away from, and stay off, the streets of London. We do this at our day centre, just opposite Charing Cross station.

Homes of Promise
Uganda

Homes of Promise rescues children from the poverty of life on the streets and, where possible, reconcile them to their families, find foster parents for orphans, and ensure that their physiological, psychological and spiritual needs are being met.

Crisis

We are the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We help people directly out of homelessness and campaign for the changes needed to solve it altogether

Tearfund

Tearfund is a Christian charity that partners with churches in more than 50 of the world’s poorest countries. We tackle poverty through sustainable development, responding to disasters, and challenging injustice. We believe an end to extreme poverty is possible.
